FORMATION OF UKRAINIAN NATIONAL CONSCIOUSNESS AND PATRIOTISM DURING THE STUDY OF THE COURSE “JURISPRUDENCE” IN HIGHER EDUCATION

Abstract

The article is devoted to the education of national consciousness and patriotism of students during the study of law in higher education institutions and the role of national consciousness in the formation of the citizen of Ukraine. It is emphasized that the formation of national consciousness is an urgent problem and plays an important theoretical and practical significance because the state-building processes taking place in independent Ukraine in recent decades necessitate solving the problem of educating nationally conscious citizens, true patriots loyal to the Fatherland. The core of the education system in Ukrainian education is the national idea, which plays the role of a consolidating factor in the formation of the younger generation, the formation of an active civil position, responsibility for the people, the country and actively helps in this process subjects of the legal cycle. The above aspects are contained in the educational program of the course "Jurisprudence" and are reflected in the work programs of teachers, namely in the competencies and program learning outcomes. The article proves the importance of the discipline "Jurisprudence" in higher education institutions in the process of forming the national consciousness of primary school students.
