ECONOMIC SECURITY OF UKRAINE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF CORRUPTION

Abstract

Many works are devoted to the reasons and prerequisites for the development of corruption in Ukraine and the world. The majority of scientists are inclined to the fact that the existence of such a negative phenomenon is related to the standard of living of the population and their social status. Representatives of the economic approach to the study of the causes and conditions of the appearance of corruption are inclined to the opinion that, despite the social status, a person’s inclination to material enrichment, his interest and desire to receive rent from everything is the reason for the rooting of this destructive phenomenon. The formation of Ukraine as a strong, independent, legal, democratic and socially-oriented state was influenced by a significant number of positive and negative phenomena that significantly influenced and still influence socio-political processes. Constant threats, pressure and war have affected our territorial, cultural, ethnic, economic, democratic and social components. That is why the article is devoted to highlighting the negative impact of corruption as a threat to the economic security of Ukraine. In the course of the research, the main approaches to assessing the level of corruption were analyzed, the importance of taking into account international indices for the development and implementation of a set of measures that will affect the prevention, detection and termination of various types of corruption offenses was pointed out. Also, it is stated that taking into account all the events that our country faced in the conditions of a full-scale invasion influenced the need to reform the system of ensuring national, including economic, security. After all, the modern Ukrainian state is in conditions in which the protection of critical infrastructure and the minimization of corruption of all state institutions and organizations should be at the forefront.
